#introtopoetry Day 7

Standard

A ‘found’ poem from ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ (with flavour!)

After a time she heard a pattering of feet.

They began running when they liked

and stopped when they liked.

In that direction.

The direction of the delicious flavour.

The flavour of the stolen tarts.

  1. I wanna run in that direction. Found poetry is new to me but I can see how it could become strangely addictive. You’ve done well to derive meaning from your found phrases.

  2. I’ve never heard of ‘found’ poetry until this challenge, Leigh. I grabbed Alice in Wonderland and took the first sentence from each of the first three chapters. Three more challenges to go! I’m certainly learning a lot about poetry.
